Extrafine merino wool
Our merino wool is mulesing free and RWS certified which ensures that the wool farmer meets the standards for animal welfare, land management, and social responsibility.
Merino wool is highly valued for its softness, comfort, as well as its moisture-regulating properties that have a warming and cooling effect. It's also antimicrobial, making it odor-resistant. To maintain these benefits it's important to care for your merino wool garments properly.
A merino wool garment doesn't need to be washed often due to the natural properties mentioned above. Once or twice a year is enough. Hang your garment outside to air out overnight. This will help extend the lifespan of your garment and reduce the need for washing.
If you need to remove creases or refresh your garment, a hand steamer can be helpful. We recommend keeping some distance between the steamer and the garment to prevent damage.
If you notice a stain, it's important to clean it immediately, as wool stains can become permanent. You can spot-clean the stain or wash the garment with a wool detergent. Be sure not to use bleach or fabric softeners as they can damage the merino wool fibers. Our merino wool garments come with a hand wash label, but you can also use a gentle wool cycle in the washing machine.
After washing it's crucial to avoid tumble drying your merino wool garments. Instead, remove excess water by gently pressing the garment with a towel and lay it flat to dry.
Pilling is a natural process of merino wool fabrics and does not indicate poor quality. To remove pills from your garment, we recommend using a fabric shaver. Always fold your merino wool garments to maintain their shape, and do not wear the same pieces daily. Store them with natural moth repellents to prevent any damage.
Organic Cotton
Our organic cotton is GOTS certified, which is a worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers. It included ecological and social criteria and is backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.
Organic cotton is a natural fiber that is grown without the use of chemical fertilizers or genetically modified seeds (GMOs) and requires much less water than conventional cotton. It offers numerous benefits, including softness, absorbency, durability, breathability, hypoallergenic properties, and easy care. However, it's important to take good care of your organic cotton garments to keep them looking their best.
To refresh your organic cotton garments after wearing them, use a hand steamer and spritz them with fabric spray. It's important to keep the steamer a safe distance from the garment to prevent any damage.
Organic cotton fibers are generally durable and can withstand machine washing and tumble drying. To preserve the colors of your organic cotton garments use a detergent made for colored clothes and a separate one for white clothes. If you choose to tumble dry your clothes, use tumble dryer balls to reduce the drying time and avoid static electricity.
When hanging your organic cotton garment, use padded hangers and alternate the direction of the hangers to prevent stretching. For long-term storage, always fold your organic cotton garments to maintain their shape and store them with natural moth repellents to prevent any damage.
